what to expect
This year, we’re investing in the spaces that support daily life at the club, from refreshed finishes and updated facilities to added room for programs and services. Projects vary by location. Find your club below to see what’s changing, when work begins, and what to expect along the way.
indoor tennis court resurfacing
All nine indoor courts · LRAC
Beginning August 4, all nine indoor tennis courts will receive new charcoal gray playing surfaces, light gray surrounds, and black backdrops.
The new courts will look sharp, but this project is about more than appearance. Slick spots have developed on several of the existing surfaces, and every court should provide the safe, consistent play you expect.
Work will take place in three phases, allowing at least six indoor courts to remain available throughout the project.

Booking During Construction
LRAC members may reserve indoor courts at Little Rock Racquet Club while their home courts are being resurfaced. Because the app does not support cross-club reservations without an All Access membership, please call Racquet directly to book a court.
Members enrolled in lessons or programs will hear directly from their pro if construction affects their schedule.
grill refresh
LRAC
Blue Court Grill will change names and get a fresh new look with updated flooring, tables, chairs, and lighting, along with the same plaid wallpaper featured in Pickleball.
The kitchen and food service will remain open throughout the project. Most construction will take place after hours, so you can continue stopping by for your usual order with minimal interruption.
business and staff office move
4410 Sam Peck Road
Around mid September, several staff and administrative offices will move into the club’s newly purchased house on Sam Peck Road. The new office will be home to our CEO, Business Office staff, the Communications team, and IT.
During office hours, members are welcome to stop by, have a cup of coffee, and meet with any of us.
Connie Brantley, Desk Manager; Sharon Northern, Tennis League Coordinator; and Leslye Gibbens, Tennis Academy Director, will remain in the office behind the Tennis Desk.

Pilates reformer
LRAC
The current Pilates Reformer Studio will move into the existing Business and Staff Office area, creating space for two additional reformers for a total of 14.
We’re also exploring several ideas for the space the Reformer Studio currently occupies. We’ll share more as those plans take shape.
Men’s and Women’s Locker Room Renovation
Complete floor-to-ceiling refresh · LRAC
Both locker rooms are receiving a complete floor-to-ceiling renovation with new finishes, fixtures, and materials throughout.
Construction will take place one locker room at a time, allowing a full locker room to remain open while work is underway on the other. Each renovation is expected to take approximately 12 weeks.

family changing rooms
The current IT offices outside the men’s locker room will become PERMANENT family changing rooms with two full bathrooms and showers.
While either the men’s or women’s locker room is under construction, this space will temporarily serve members of that gender. Because capacity is limited, we ask members to be considerate of others and keep visits as efficient as possible.

Temporary Lockers and Changing Rooms
Gender-specific temporary lockers and private changing rooms will be installed in Racquetball Court 1 for members whose locker room is temporarily closed.

Co-ed Sauna
A new co-ed sauna will be installed off the family changing room on the recreation pool patio. Open to all members, it will remain as a permanent club amenity after locker room construction is complete.

Construction Access and Parking
The east employee parking lot will serve as the construction staging area.
Once construction starts and continuing after, the gravel lot east of Pickleball will be reserved for employees and after-school care pickup only.

Racquet Club Studio Conversion
LRRC
Racquet Club has seen a lot of thoughtful improvements in recent years, from the new kiddie pool to refreshed locker rooms and updated spaces throughout the club. This next round of work continues that momentum, with new additions designed to support the way members move, play, and spend time together.
Next up, the current LEAP room will become a fully remodeled combo studio, with cycling classes expected to begin there in September. Once cycling moves out of the shared Reformer space, that studio will be dedicated exclusively to Pilates.
Four new reformers will be added for a total of 12, and every reformer will be equipped with a tower. Fee-based tower classes are expected to begin this fall.
LEAP will move to the newly remodeled camp room in the Indoor Tennis Center, complete with the fun, active equipment families have come to know and love.
